#eclipse2017 #pathoftotality Forest closures are pushing the public into areas where higher concentrations of hikers and climbers make it more likely that Search & Rescue specialists will be needed.

Santiam Pass trailhead parking lots are overflowing with cars as hikers and campers seek the perfect spot to view the total eclipse today at 10:18am. The forest and wilderness closures caused by the significant wildfire activity have pushed many hikers to the Three Finger Jacks area. Over 60 Search and Rescue specialists from all over Oregon and Washington under the command of Linn County Sheriff’s Office have planned for months to provide assistance to those recreating in the area. Be careful out there and report injured or missing persons to the Sheriff’s Office. #ORWildfires #OReclipse #WhitewaterFire #LittleDevilFire #RebelFire U.S. Forest Service – Willamette National Forest
